Meet Soffea

Hello! I’m Soffea and I’m thrilled to welcome you to Joy Weavers! My journey into the world of conscious dance has been profound. For many years I was very active. I thrived on a vigorous exercise routine that kept me active 5-6 days a week. I enjoyed sports like running marathons and participating in triathlons until an injury shifted my perspective on wellness.

As I navigated the changes that come with menopause and aging, I felt low energy, and this also affected my self-confidence and self-image.

Everything changed when I accidentally discovered a somatic dance class. It opened my eyes to a new way of moving—one that encouraged me to tune into my body and my emotions. I realized that I could find joy in movement without the pressure of competition or perfection.

Through conscious dance, I’ve learned to honor my body’s wisdom and celebrate every unique movement. Now, I’m passionate about sharing this journey with others and creating a welcoming space where everyone—regardless of age or ability—can find their own rhythm and joy.

Conscious Dance
